What is a B Corp company ?

A B Corp company meets the highest verified standard of social and environmental performance, transparency, and accountability. It represents the only truly sustainable way of doing business: using business as a force for good.

B Corp members that are part of this international community, inspire and help each other in their mission so that together they can have an even bigger impact. They all agree that business is not just about profits but can and should also make a positive social and environmental change in the world.

A B Corp certification is one of the only certifications that is not for a product or service, but for the whole business behind it. The B stands for “benefit,” and refers to benefiting workers, the community, and the environment. This certification will help customers identify companies with a truly sustainable mission.

How do we contribute to a better world ?

Greentripper is the first Belgian company in the travel industry to be certified B Corp. We are committed to contributing to the fight against climate change by raising awareness among travellers and travel professionals and offering them carbon calculation, reduction, and contribution solutions covering 100% of their environmental impact.

We offer travellers the opportunity to 'act global' by supporting a certified climate project in a developing country. The main objective of these projects is to combine the socio-economic development of local populations with the reduction of CO2e emissions on a global level.

They can also choose to 'act local' by supporting a climate project closer to home, or 'act glocal' by combing both!

The B Corp certification is a validated and recognized process delivered by the independent organization, B Lab. It measures a company’s performance in five categories: governance, workers, customers, community, and the environment.

Greentripper’s B Corp ambition

By obtaining the B Corp certificate, as a sister company of CO2logic, we want to to offer inspiring solutions for travellers who dare to make travel part of the solution of the ecological transition rather than a problem.

Every time we travel, CO2e emissions are released into our atmosphere. According to a 2016 study by the UNWTO (World Tourism Organisation), tourism-related transport accounts for 5% of man-made CO2e emissions. This may not sound like much, but it is far from being an insignificant figure!
